Recommended consumption:
Between 1 and 2 cups per day, preferably one on an empty stomach or one before lunch.

Contraindications

Although it is natural, hibiscus tea is not suitable for everyone. Avoid consuming it in these cases:

People with low blood pressure: it may lower it even further.

Pregnancy: it may stimulate the uterus and is not recommended without medical approval.

Breastfeeding: its mild hormonal effect could alter milk production.

People with gastritis or severe reflux: its acidity may worsen symptoms.

People taking antihypertensive medications: it may potentiate their effect.

Use of diuretic medications: it may excessively increase fluid elimination.

Advanced kidney problems: the increased urination may be counterproductive.

Furthermore, it should not be consumed in excess (more than 2–3 cups daily), as it could cause dizziness due to decreased blood pressure or dehydration.
